Something’s New Happening at BloggersEthics

On every New Year, everyone makes resolutions to make themselves and their lives better. And same goes for their blog too. Plans and strategies are made to ensure that the blog does for what it was started and actions are taken. I am very sure that your plans are working as you wished.

time for change

For me, from the blogging point of view, things have not been very good. It is entirely my fault and I cannot complain. My official life was taking a lot on toll on me (I hate this) and life became too busy suddenly. But now, it is coming back on track and I would like to tell you about few new things which I am going to introduce here at BloggersEthics.

  1. Introducing Kelvin Igbinigie
    - As I said above, I was not too active with my blog recently. Very less posting and almost zero promotion and blog traffic started taking a dip. Alexa rank went on to 300,000 from 200,000 and I was having a hard time in deciding whether should I continue with this blog and eventually, I decided to sell this blog and mailed some people in my mail list. One of the replies came from Kelvin Igbinigie of EntrepreneurSuccess.com. He did not buy my blog but had a good chat with me on FaceBook about why I am selling the blog and stuff related to that and very humbly, proposed to offer his services. After working out few things, we have decided that we will work jointly on this blog. All the content will be written by me and Kelvin will handle the SEO and promotion part. So if you wind awesome content, contact me and if you see the traffic rising sharply, get in touch with Kelvin. I am very, very thankful to him for his unconditional support and this makes me believe why blogosphere is such a nice place to be. Thanks once again, Kelvin. And so now, this blog is not just my blog. It is our blog with Kelvin the equal contributor in its success. (I will make the necessary changes in the About page soon.)
  1. Introducing guest posts
    - Although I have posted two guest posts on my blog earlier contributed by Jeff, Vivek, James and Okto; I have not created any Guest Post page till date. I have received few more guest posts which will be posted in due course of time. So, I have opened an official Guest Post page which will have all the relevant information about guest posting here at BloggersEthics. Just visit it once, make sure your post complies with the guidelines and mail me. No rocket science. Here is the link to the Guest Post page.
  1. Call to action
    - As I have always said, I have believed in traditional blogging and writing posts that helps you understand the blogging in the easiest way. Hence, following some of the bloggers I admire and relevant to this niche, I will be adding “Action points” in each post- something for you to do. I first saw this thing at Shamelle’s blog, and was pretty much impressed with it. And it does make sense. After all, if your post is not generating any kind of response from the readers, then your effort is futile. Make your readers do something and then only, you can become successful. For the guest writers, it is entirely their choice whether they want to include Action points or not. Everyone has their own writing style and I do not want you to change it. Write as you have always written and let the magic work.

So, these are the things we will be starting from April 1, 2012. With the help of Kelvin, I am sure I can take this blog to new heights and that is, of course, not possible without your appreciation and feedback. Keep pouring in your comments and anything that you would like me to change or think upon and I will definitely get in touch with you.

Great to hear that you back to your blogging path with Kelvin. Sometimes it will be quite boring if you tend to manage a blog by yourself, slowly you’ll quit blogging after several months without any improvement. Anyway, joint venture with other blogger would be a good start for you, keep going!

Will be more often here. Keep in touch Tushar!

  2. Okto says:

Congrats for your resolutions Tushar. I would like to thank for the opportunity of guest posting here.

And thanks for sharing your plans, that is important lesson on what option a blogger can have to develop a blog.

Wish you great success a head.

  3. Great news. I also had a chat about Kelvin about this.
So in this case, how does the revenue sharing between you and Kelvin decided?

    • Tushar says:

Hi vivek. Actually the blog is not earning any revenue as of now but when this happens, there will be equal distribution among us.

    • Kelvin@bloggersethics says:

Thanks Vivek for your concern and encouragement during the chat… Thanks for the like too on our page.

  4. Jay King says:

I shall stand by you in whatever way my help is required, bestly, the publicity can be left all to me if you guys can have a tour of allowing me

  5. Hi Tushar,
Good to hear that you will still continue with this blog.

I can’t really describe it in words but it’s heart warming see that you are taking the advice you read, and actually putting it into action.
Wish you and Kevin, much success…

    regards
    Shamelle
